CREED: FULL CIRCLE
How does it feel being together again after all these years?
It’s great, still relatively new, we’re into our 5th week of production for the new record. The music is just pouring out. We’re excited about the record and even more excited about tours.
What was the motivation to reunite and do this after 6 years?
We ended up under the same management umbrella and they made it possible. We’re still doing our things, but the experience in Creed was so unique and playin’ the arenas and playing that level. The experience itself was so good that it would be silly to just throw it all away.
How long has this been in the planning stages?
It was set in motion around December. It wasn’t until we hooked up with our new mangaement that they kinda got things really rolling in this. The plan was to put together a summer tour but that quickly changed to a full on tour and album.
What can we expect on the new album?
We released a single in mid August, the rest should be done by October. The record shows 6 years of growth, on the playing side, we’ve all been gigging hard since we parted ways and hopefully it shows in the record. It’s got a familiar sound but it also has a lot of new dynamics to it.
What advice do you all have for other up and coming bands that look up to you wanting to be in this buisness?
What we did is just save our cash and got a good demo made. Find your best local manager, local radios, shows, touring, and putting things aside. Get your name out there. You gotta put work into it, nothing’s gonna happen if you don’t make an impact in your local scene.
Is their a reason for this new image that Scott has going on?
He had said that he’s trying to shed his old personality, he had been through some tough times so he just tried starting over.
What does creed mean to you all this time around?
Its that thing in our lives thats just a huge pivotal project that got us where we are today. It was truly a unique experience and a once in a lifetime opportunity we appreciate it now more then when it was going on. We’ve all had to go struggle like all the other bands out there. We realized how hard it was when what we’re doing is not as successful as Creed.
What are your favorite song’s to play live?
Really, a lot of the newer material. Their so fun to play because they’re newer and show where we’re at now. Some of the older songs are great though My Own Prison and Ode are awesome to play. They’re all fun for their unique reasons.
What can we look forward to in the tour
year’s to come?
This tour look for a huge stage show everything from back in the day and more with all the new technology. Our plans now are to get the record out, do the tour, see where it takes us, and follow it up with a tour on the next single.
Is their anything you would like to say to your fans?
Thanks for being patient. Both Creed and Alter Bridge fans worried. There’s nothing to be worried about. We will just be getting more music out than before.
